It is not only scary, but sobering. What are we as Christians doing to counter these beliefs that are permeating our lives? By doing what we, as Christians are supposed to be doing, helping the downtrodden, the lonely, the unlovely, Oprah and people like her...the "Brangelinas" of the world are taking credit for what we were called to do. I'm talking to myself here. I am guilty of living in my own comfort zone, just turning Oprah off. Turning her off is no longer enough. We, the followers of Jesus Christ who say that He is the only way and that He died that we might live eternally, must stand up.
I know that we have many missionaries and lay people who are trying to accomplish extraordinary things in some incredibly dire straits. What would happen if we gave them the support, financially, physically, prayerfully that we give Oprah? I tell you what would happen. It would soon be "Oprah who?"
I know the missionaries and lay people are not doing God's work so that they can get the acclaim that Oprah does, I'm just saying can we help them do the work they have been called to do, so that GOD gets the acclaim that Oprah does?
Remember Satan is not a scary, ugly monster. He is beautiful and loves to imitate all the things of God. The problem is it's only temporary, not eternal. He is the great deceiver. He wants the world to believe that Oprah and her followers are the "real deal". Please stand up, turn her off and TUNE GOD IN.

Hi Lisa,
Thank you so much for sending this to me.....I will forward it to my friends. I am a Greek Orthodox Christian and our Bishop just came to Dallas and spoke about defending the Faith and standing for Truth. We have a lot of doctrine in our Church that has been preserved for 2000 years, that same doctrine that oprah thinks she can obliterate.... Our Bishop told us to remember that "even the gates of hell will not overturn Christ's Church" and also that truth never changes.....The same truth that was 2000 years ago still applies today.....Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.....
We have very well- meaning, but Biblically ignorant people in our Church who are trying to mold the Truth and Teachings of Christ into something a little more convenient and comfortable for themselves.....It is the struggle of our lifetime.....We must preserve the Truth for our precious children.
satan never tells it like it is.....he is the great deceiver.....
May God save His People and may God Bless you for standing for Truth.

Lisa-
Thanks so much for sending this. I belong to a book club that is
reading this right now and a few of us refused. I did not really have
what I felt as though was a compelling enough explanation so I sent this
link to the person who recommended it. She is a good friend of mine and
is really pulling away from Christ right now. I just hope she listens
to this. She also is a huge Oprah fan.

Hi Lisa -
Thank you for forwarding the link. This is unbelievable and quite shocking. A group of friends of mine were just talking the other day about this "Earth" book/podcast she is doing (since none of knew what it was about). Well ... now we do! We were talking about how we wished Oprah would bring out her Christian roots instead of doing the politically correct thing.
Wow ... is all I can say. I will never watch her show again or have anything to do with what she is a part of. I am actually quite sad for her. Sad that she doesn't realize the impact she has had (income, career, etc.) is all because of HIM. Not because of her "good works".
Although I am furious over what I just saw and heard, I will pray for her and for her followers that they will know and understand there is only one God and that Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.
I'm shocked and stunned. Unbelievable.
May the Lord give her the wisdom to see the light and may all Christians stand up to her and her evil empire. May they know the real truth and not be misguided by some idol.
Thank you for passing this along.
Rita
I watched the video and it was very heart breaking. Listening to her, she took one comment made by a human...and was able to deny everything she believed. That to me is sad for her.
But I would be interested in watching the episode(they showed a clip...looked like an older one and she was being challanged by various Christian women). Of coures it only had a snip of it, but I thought it was interesting what she was saying...about many paths can lead to Jesus or God(I don't remember exactly what she said). And the lady was firmly standing her ground, saying no..no... Fundementally I agree with that lady...but that is also were we as Christian's need to stop and listen and let someone finish a statement. I wonder if in that episode she was saying..many paths can lead to Jesus. Meaning, you may be a non believer, a Muslim, a leader in the Jewish culture or so on...and at some point you were able to find the path to Jesus, through Christianity. Even thought it is probably far fetched, based on the rest of that video, that she meant that...I think one thing we take from this is the ability to temperly discuss and hear out a person's reason and belief. Then share with them, the Truth that we find in the Bible and in our Christian belief. What an amazing tie in with the evangelism teachings we have been learning! All the more reason we have to be out there sharing the TRUE Gosspel. You know..Oprah changes views and opinons like she changes hair style. Will be interesting to see what she is preaching in 5 or 10 years after she is struck with a "Come to Jesus" situation.
Here is my question...if she was a Christian and a believer back in her 20s and younger.. but has this new found faith...does she still meet us in heaven? Stupid ?..... I wonder about that sometimes..
What specifically do you oppose in Oprah's promotion of 'The New Earth"? Why Do you believe that she is anti-Christian? Christ said "Take up Your Cross and Follow me," He did not say to take up HIs Cross. Iwould really ike to understand why so many Christians seem infuriated by her approach. I, for one, don't see it. Respectfully submitted to you.
I would ask you to consider what life circumstances she has suffered and if she is not being used by the Lord in some way, for the ultimate Good. I would also ask you to consider whether or not there are not many ways to experience God. We are as individual as the day is long, and God, inhis ultimate creativity then, had but to create many ways in which to reach us all. Many paths can lead to the same destination. I'd really like to understand what it is about her Christianity that you disagree with? Christ did ask us to judge not. You may note that Eckhart Tolle does offer many examples from many different schools of thought, especially and including Christianity.Again, Respectfully submitted.
Thank you for your reply, But I would like to ask you specifically, What exactly has Oprah done to receive this judgement? Do you really believe that we as Christians are the only ones whom Christ accepts as his own? Christians represent but a very small minority of the world at large. Do you believe that this makes us better? What fault then, could a child who was raised anything but Christian ever have, when his parents in the tradition that they were raised in, decided to raise him the same? We, every single one of us are children of God, regardless of race, creed, color. No matter what form, and no matter what we have done, we are still his children, as are our own children when they stray. Remember the Prodigal son? Was he not accepted home again?
Can you truly ever fault someone who was never introduced to Christ for not Accepting Him as their savior? God is the creator of ALL, Everything. He has made the way for everything to evolve, and yes he gave us free will. You may also note that there are many different versions of the Bible.Do you believe that there is only ONe true Bible? And if so then which one is it? And who decided which one is the truth? Christ's word can be interpreted in many different ways. And did he not come to show us how to live? To indeed be an example of how to live so that we might suffer less, and cause others less suffering? Is he not the Way, The Truth and the Life? I really do not believe it is our place, as human beings to cast the first, or and other stone. For there is not one of us who is without fault. Not one.
What we all could benefit from is indeed, focusing on What Good one has done. And Oprah has done more good in this world, than most.
I truly believe that we need to focus on strengths and Not weakness. Pessimism is the scourge of the world. And as long as we continue finding fault, we'll continue living in a very bleak world. Search for the Good in People, and you will undoubtedly find it. Did Christ not commune with the beggars and the thieves, and the prostitutes?
Again, with utmost respect, submitted.
